Requirements for Membership
Before applying, all interested applicants MUST hold a current Short Term Rental license issued by the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and meet all the by-law, public health, fire and emergency services standards required for the licence. The applicant must also comply with the “Code of Ethics” of the Association, and is required to pay an annual membership fee.

Benefits of Membership
Discounted access to Think Reservations property management system: A complete and up-to-date PMS built with small accommodation providers in mind. STAY NOTL Members Private Community on Facebook: A private support group for Stay Niagara-on-the-Lake current and past members only. Its main purpose is to facilitate exchanges between the membership as well as giving our shared support and experiences to one another when needed. If the last 25 years taught us anything it is surely that we are stronger together! By improving the sharing of information between us through this social media platform, it is easier to stay connected and also remind ourselves of what is happening in Niagara as well as STAY NOTL related formal or social events.
Online Exposure: Your property will be featured on the Association website at BookYourStay.ca. All reservations and referrals made through the Association are commission-free. High search engine placement, Google Ads and other marketing campaigns are supported financially by the Association through member’s and partner’s yearly dues.
Advertising: The Associations’ advertisements are geared towards promoting the website and driving use of our own online search engine. Our significant membership numbers also provide power in negotiating advertising rates and obtaining editorial coverage in key target market publications
Town Map: Each member has a presence on our colourful and very popular town map, with a distribution of approximately 100,000 print copies, as well as its highly visited digital interactive counterpart. Members are provided each Spring with complimentary print copies for their guests.
Partner Program: We have established partner programs with local restaurants, wineries, tour companies and a myriad of other businesses around Town in order to provide you and your guests with a variety of options as part as our Plan Your Stay section. Another useful trip and activity planning online tool to share with your guests.
Restaurant Menu Book: Every year, all members also receive a printed copy of our restaurant menu book, an invaluable tool in assisting guests when trying to make dinner reservations. An online digital copy is also accessible to the public through our Plan Your Stay section.
Town & Government Liaison: The Association has attained a highly respected voice in the community as a strong advocacy group representing the best interests of our members. Ongoing interaction with Town & Government officials takes place regularly. The Association also has a dedicated representative around the Tourism NOTL/Chamber of Commerce board of director table.
Annual General Meeting: The Spring Annual General Meeting for the membership provides a forum for the Directors to report on the activities of the previous year; exchange ideas with the members, and make plans for the following year. A less formal Late Fall mid-term meeting also takes place to let the membership know of the Association’s progress in the current year activities and offer an opportunity to socialize with our peers.
