Niagara-on-the Lake is one of these places where history is waiting for you at every corner, and ghosts stories too! Its rich history dating back as far as 1781, its initial role of first capital of Upper Canada and its involvement within the war of 1812 surely contribute to make our small town so mysterious, especially after dark… Come visit us this Halloween and participate in the activities planned for this special time of year in Canada’s most haunted town!
Join us for an exploration of the scariest aspects of haunted Fort George. This 2-hour walking tour includes stories too frightening to be told on the summer tours, and opens a building (the Officers’ Quarters) usually off limits to the Ghost Tour. Need more? The daily Ghost Walk and Dark History Tourof the town will be, as usual, starting at 8:00 pm every night until the end of October.
There is also two proper Halloween parties being held around town on October 29th. Right downtown, the Halloween Gala at the Prince of Wales Hotel and, located in Queenston, the Monster Bash 2016 at Willowbank in support of KidSport Niagara. Both event have limited places so make sure of buying your tickets in advance!
After all these ghostly encounters, you will surely need a safe haven to spend the night! Use the search engine above to find your perfect room for the weekend.
