Indoor recreation

If you find it a bit chilly outside, you can always plan to take an indoor break from all the activity and attend a movie hosted by the Shaw Festival Film Series at the Festival Theatre at 3 p.m. on Saturday. On January 17, Love is Strange starring John Lithgow, Alfred Molina and Maria Tomei is considered one of the best movies of 2014, and on January 24, St. Vincent stars Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy join forces to keep you entertained. If you enjoy documentaries, check out Fed Up on Friday, January 16 or Particle Fever on Friday, January 23 at 6 p.m. Single tickets are $12 including tax and can be purchased in advance or same day at the Shaw Festival Box Office.

And why not plan to enjoy a bite before the Saturday films? Gathering Niagara’s Lunchmarket at the Shaw Festival Theatre features excellent fare at reasonable prices from local food trucks and vendors. Be early though as food can sell out fast!
