As the very first capital of the Upper Canada Colony, then called Newark, Niagara-on-the-Lake feels a special connection with the history of Canada. Today, over two hundred years after its founding, Niagara-on-the-Lake honours its rich and diverse history, and has more heritage buildings than any other town its size in Canada. We welcome you to visit and experience it firsthand during Canada’s 150th birthday!  There are events planned for the whole season.  Check out the NOTL Canada 150 website for all the details.
