Property Description

  • General Description

Set on an acre of Green Belt land, surrounded by orchards and vineyards, Arcadia House is an expansive 19th century home upgraded with modern conveniences while retaining its original charm.

It's a stone’s throw from the Niagara Escarpment (a UNESCO World Biosphere site), minutes from Niagara-on-the-Lake and Niagara Falls, an 8-minute drive from the Shaw Festival Theatre, and a few minutes' bike ride from the 56-kilometre Niagara River Recreation Trail.

After a day’s activity, there are plenty of ways to wind down before turning in for the night: sit and read in front of the gas fire in the lounge, soak in the hot tub under the stars, play a game of pétanque on the lawn, or relax on the porch swing.

We live in a separate wing of the house and the guest suites are quite separate from each other, assuring you of a quiet, private stay.

  • Features

-- Crepes made with walnut flour, stuffed with brie, asparagus and pear.
-- Bacon or sausages and eggs, home fries, grilled mushrooms and tomatoes, baked beans.

We generally put meat on the side so vegetarians have an option. Our bacon and sausages are sourced from Menonite farms in the St Jacobs area.
