War of 1812 Soldiers Day is taking place at Fort George April 29-30th. See the uniforms, the weapons, and all the gear of a soldier in the war of 1812. Learn about what it takes to be a re-enactor as War of 1812 Re-enactors occupy the Fort for a training weekend.  Observe the training on Saturday and meet with the Unit Commanders of the British forces on Sunday to ask questions and find out how to join one of the groups.  For more information, call Parks Canada at 905-468-6614.  Fort George has free admission throughout 2017 to celebrate Canada’s 150th.

Stay the whole weekend and enjoy all the splendors of spring in Niagara-on-the-Lake.  Book your stay at one of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s wonderful bed and breakfasts, inns or cottages at bookyourstay.ca. Take in some history!
